I Feel Old

I feel old.

Yesterday was the day when the official Singapore launch of the expansion for World of Warcraft. After agreeing to purchase for Sister Stranger and another friend, I went down to Suntec to collect the copies.

The launch was not very properly manage, then again, I was not interested in whatever they had planned, I just want to collect my copies, rush home, install and play. It was then I realised that like 100% of the crowd there were older than me. There were kids in school uniforms, young working adults, but there was not a single old working adult like me. Suddenly, I felt very conscious.

I do know of an American in my guild who is like 59 years old, a grandfather and still actively raiding with us, but I think in Singapore an old working adult playing games is still viewed with certain ridicule.

Next time I am just going to order online and get the the next expansion delivered to my doorstep.
