Didn’t do this last year, so I am doing it this year.
1) Took leave.
2) Had an excellent breakfast (toast with smoked salmon) made with love.
3) Had my first omakase at Ryo Sushi @ Orchid Hotel.
4) Because I sprained my lower back the night before, had to go home to rest.
The excellent breakfast and lunch more than made up the lower back pain.
1) Woke up in Salzburg.
2) Had breakfast in the hotel. Took a very early morning bus near our hotel to the Bad Ischl Train Station.
3) Arrived at the Bad Ischl Train Station where train ticket to Hallstatt Train Station was purchased.
4) Took the nice almost empty train.
5) Arrived at the Hallstatt Train Station and proceed to board the ferry to Hallstatt.
6) Spent a few very enjoyable hours in the beautiful but cold Hallstatt.
7) Went back to Salzburg and had a very nice dinner at the pizza place L’Osteria downstairs.
What I did today in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
1) Woke up on the train to Kiruna.
2) Checked into the Kiruna hotel Scandic Ferrum.
3) Walked around Kiruna.
4) Had excellent dinner at Landstroms Kok & Bar.
What I did today in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
1) Woke up and checked out from Margaret Forest.
2) Wanted to go to the Berry Farm for breakfast, but found out they are only opened at 10am.
3) Drove back to have breakfast at Margaret Bakery for the second time.
4) Walk around the town till the shop which was selling some nice tote bags opened for business.
5) Drove towards Denmark.
6) Had lunch at Lavender and Berry Farm. Wonderful place, wondered why the owners wanted to sell it.
7) Drop by Bartholemews Meadery to buy a bottle of honey and mead.
8) Finally reached Sensational Heights and checked in. What a place. What views.
9) Drove to Denmark town to buy some food from IGA.
10) Had roast chicken and a bottle of Margaret River Xanadu Shiraz outside the room enjoying the views and sunset.
Most importantly, I am no longer alone today.
What I did today in 2008 and 2010. Forgot to note down for 2009.
1. On leave today.
2. Spent the day packing and sleeping.
3. Heavy rain the whole day, flash floods in many areas. Perhaps it means that I have much wealth next year?
4. Had dinner with 2 close friends, having Japanese BBQ.
5. Started personal project, Wenjie365.
Was supposed to keep track of all the things I did today for every year, I started in 2008, but forgot in 2009. I am going to list down the things I did today for year 2010:
1) Spent morning and afternoon trying to rectify some work problem which ended me going back to office even though I am on leave. In the end, the issue was escalated. Time wasted.
2) Had chili crabs and seafood with family. First time they sitting in my car too.
3) Found out more evidence from Facebook what I suspected. Why am I still clinging on?
4) Spent night listening to Christmas’ songs from Mariah Carey and wishing someone was with me.
Because today is a special day for me, and because I do not remember what I did on this day last year since I did not keep any records, I decided to put down the things that I did today.
1. Not on leave so had to work.
2. Had a meeting which lasted for 2 1/2 hours. Had to attend this meeting because I am taking over this account.
3. Had a nice dinner of chilli crabs in Dragon Phoenix restaurant with family.
4. Spent the night looking at random photos on Friendster, thinking how nice it is to be young, to be carefree, to do crazy things, to have the energy to do it.
I think I will keep a record of how this day goes every year from now on.
