Every once a while, I get this urge to go out and splash money on a new gadget. It is irrational and unhealthy, but it is like an itch that just refuse to go away until I get my hands on a gadget.
The recent itch started when I sat in my Sales Director new car, a new BMW 5 series. He was showing me the onboard computer display where everything was displayed on the screen inside the car. Things like engine oil, which traditionally checked with a dipstick, is now displayed visually on the screen. My senses started tingling and before I know it, the gadget itch was on me.
Luckily, I was still rational enough to realise that I will never be able to afford a BMW car now. However, I decided to start looking at the available handphone models on the market now, telling myself the $200 handset off voucher from M1 was too good not to make use of and my current handphone was getting old. It was not before long that I found the handphone that I wanted :
The new Sony Ericsson K850i. 5 megapixels camera, 3G phone, A2DP, EDGE, HSDPA. What a phone! The thought ‘MUST GET IT’ keeps going through my mind again and again.
