‘All men are bastards.‘
It is a line that is often repeated to me by my mei. It was something that I disagree with her previously. True, there may be one or two black sheeps, but most men are not that bad.
Last night she told me what happened to her recently which had me thinking again. I looked at the men around me, the stories related to me by other women and then I realised it was not just one or two black sheeps, but much more than that. It seems everywhere I look, I see unfaithful men. Men who is supposed to be married, some with children, yet making advances on women, having affair with women, and visiting prostitutes. Those men who are not married are having relationships with more than one woman, some more than two.
I guess I can now say this, ‘Not all men are bastards, but most are.‘
